PRESS RELEASE

The Sermon (Click Here)
(Rick Warren Introduces Ken Blanchard at 35 Minute Mark)

Rick Warren and Ken Blanchard - Sermon Clip

April 26, 2005- This letter is a follow-up to our recent press release, which exposes Ken Blanchard's working relationship with Rick Warren and Saddleback Church.

In November of 2003, in a sermon by Rick Warren at Saddleback Church, Rick Warren states that Ken Blanchard will be assisting in Warren's Global Peace Plan and in Saddleback Church. We thought you would want this information.

Here's a blurb, but make sure you listen to the rest of his discussion on Blanchard. That begins at the 35 minute mark of the sermon for those of you who will be unable to listen to the entire sermon.

Warren says: "Ken [Blanchard] has signed on to help with the Peace Plan, and he's going to be helping train us in leadership and in how to train others to be leaders all around the world. In fact, he was here this week and I've asked him to just give a little video greeting." (Blanchard gives a one minute praise session, which you can see and hear).

If you have not read the press release we sent out on the 20th, you can view it here. We have added a couple more crucial pieces of information to this report:

  • Ken Blanchard's involvement with the Hoffman Institute [Hoffman Quadrinity Process] (he's on the Board of Advisors with New Ager Joan Borysenko)

  • Rick Warren's involvement with Blanchard's organization Lead Like Jesus (Warren is on the Board).

Refer to the press release for those links.

Contemplative Spirituality: A belief system that uses ancient mystical practices to induce altered states of consciousness (the silence) and is rooted in mysticism and the occult but often wrapped in Christian terminology. The premise of contemplative spirituality is pantheistic (God is all) and panentheistic (God is in all). Common terms used for this movement are "spiritual formation," "the silence," "the stillness," "ancient-wisdom," "spiritual disciplines," and many others.

Spiritual Formation: A movement that has provided a platform and a channel through which contemplative prayer is entering the church. Find spiritual formation being used, and in nearly every case you will find contemplative spirituality. In fact, contemplative spirituality is the heartbeat of the spiritual formation movement.
